Menu 29 –Sports On A Slow Autumn.
Ringo remembered Mahito singing
his new song. She really liked it that it made her teary-eyed. Her classmate
told her that Mahito was the one who composed the music and the lyrics. Then,
they saw a picture of Kazuomi who would be having a basketball tournament next
Sunday. They wondered what to cook for him and that it will be his last
basketball tournament. A classmate asked if Ringo would cook him something.
Ringo told them that Kazuomi can cook for himself. Michiyo said that Kazuomi
would be happy if she cooked for him so Ringo decided to cook as the others
joined in. They planned to use the cooking room but Ayanna told them that they
cannot for her show will be shooting there.
Ringo was surprised to learn
that Mahito will be coming to her school. The other girls then asked if they can
watch the shooting. Ayanna told them that it is okay and she can even help them
in getting Mahito’s autograph. Michiyo asked if everyone is going to the
shooting, who would cheer for Kazuomi. The others told her that Kazuomi can
always be seen in their school but Mahito can only rarely be seen in person.
Ayanna thought to herself that she wanted to see Kazuomi play and she didn’t
like the idea that she would be the only one who cannot watch. Ayanna saw Ringo
and told her that she should go cheer up for Kazuomi since she cannot go for
they are in rival shows. Ringo thought that it has been a long time since she
met Mahito after his birthday. Meanwhile, Kazuomi is practicing hard for he
plans to win the tournament then tell Ringo something important.
Ringo visited Kaede to give her
some grapes. Kaede thanked her for Kazuomi haven’t returned home yet and she
is hungry. [Note: Kaede doesn't know how to cook.] Ringo asked if he was still
practicing. Kaede affirms this because it would be his last game during High
School so he wanted to win. Ringo told her that she wanted to cook for him on
that day. Kaede said that he would be happy about that then suggested that she
cook hotdogs since when he was still a kid, his father would bring him to a
sports game and they would eat hotdogs. At home, Ringo made ‘pigs in
blanket’ [ hotdogs wrapped by a dough.]
In school, the girls are going to the cooking room to get a glance at Mahito. Ringo wanted to see him but she decided not to cause trouble for Mahito. She can meet Mahito next time and today, she would cheer for Kazuomi. She met with Kazuomi and gave him the snack. Kazuomi thanked her and praised her for her cooking skills are improving. Ringo was glad to see Kazuomi happy. Kazuomi noticed that everyone went to see Mahito but Ringo told him that she came to cheer for him. Kazuomi told her that after winning the game, he has something important to tell her. Ringo wonder what it was when a teammate told Kazuomi that the game is about to start so Kazuomi told Ringo to wait for him until the end of the game.
Kazuomi played well as he thought that it would be the day when he would admit his feeling for her. Michiyo and Shinido came to cheer for Kazuomi, too. Meanwhile, the shooting have ended. Mahito glanced at the girls but he cannot find Ringo so he asked Ayanna about it. Irritated, Ayanna said that she told Ringo about it but she wanted to cheer for Kazuomi at the gym.
During half-time, Kazuomi glanced to see Ringo there so he must do his best then Shinido cheered for him. Kazuomi sweatdropped as he remembered that he had promised Shinido that he would tell Ringo. Ringo whispered to Michiyo to ask if Shinido had proposed to her. Michiyo blushes and said that they haven’t yet. Ringo then saw from the window, Mahito. Michiyo told her that the last half of the game have started. Ringo then decided to go out for a moment to look for Mahito. Someone grabbed her from the bushes and to her surprise, it was Mahito.
Kazuomi’s team won by 53 to
26. Michiyo and Shinido congratulated him as he thanked them. Kazuomi asked
where Ringo was and Michiyo told him that she went out. Kazuomi decided to go
out and look for her. Shinido playfully shouted for him to fulfill their
promise. Michiyo asked what it was. Shinido smiles that Kazuomi already said
that he will do 'it'.
Mahito told Ringo that it has been a long time since they have met. Ringo doesn’t know what to talk about so she told him that his new song is very nice. She wondered out loud that she wanted to meet the girl whom it was dedicated to and that she wanted to fall in love. Mahito then embraced Ringo as he confessed that it was for her and that he likes her. From the bushes, Kazuomi saw everything.
