Menu 31 – Soup to Bind Relationships

Kaede and Kazuomi kept on arguing until Watanabe shouted to interrupt their word fight. Watanabe told Kazuomi not to treat his mother that way so Kazuomi apologized. Watanabe told Kazuomi that he understands what he is going through he wants to know if Kazuomi already hates Ringo just because she doesn’t have the same feelings that he had for her. Lastly, he asked Kazuomi if he is sure about what he is going to do.

The show is going to start and Ringo hopes that Kazuomi would be with her this time and that he would see the recipe she made for the show since she isn’t very confident. As she went to the set, Kazuomi arrived and apologized for being late. Ringo was elated and quickly showed to Kazuomi her recipe. Kazuomi praised her work and Ringo was relieved that he came. Kazuomi told her that he wouldn’t leave her. Ringo then took this opportunity to tell him that Mahito had told her that he liked her. Kazuomi asked if she also liked him to which Ringo answered yes.

They were interrupted since the shooting is going to start. Ringo asked what he wanted to say that day after the basketball game. Kazuomi told her that he forgot it and that he would also be in the drama, which his mother wrote. As they did the show, which featured cream of potato soup, Kazuomi thought that he could not hate Ringo. It was for the best to be just be there for Ringo, and protect her love since he would always and forever like her. When Kazuomi returned home, he was met by a very dirty and messy house as her mother rejoiced for having finished another script. Later on, the filming for the two-hour Christmas drama, ‘Last Christmas’ has started. It is about three childhood friends on their love, friendship and trials in school.

In a classroom scene, Mahito was talking to Ringo asking her that they should spend Christmas together alone instead of the usual three of them. Ringo blushed too much and the director called out cut because Ringo looked too surprised. Ringo thought to herself that she thought that it was real and apologized to Mahito. Mahito whispered to her that he meant it. Ringo immediately told them to have a re-take. Kaede was very happy while Kazuomi is panicking because he is having a hard time. Then, he thought that seeing Mahito and Ringo together can be quite hard.

During the break, Kazuomi asked why Ringo wasn’t with Mahito. She told him that the other people didn’t know about their relationship and this is purely work. Next, it is Kazuomi’s scene. He was supposed to be going inside the classroom to interrupt the two lovers. As the camera rolls, he tried to open the door but ended up, toppling the door as he fell down on the floor with it. Mahito helped him up told him to be careful and not to hurt his face because it is important for an actor. The staff were complaining of having a newcomer as an actor. Inside his room, Kazuomi thought that Mahito was right for he is useless. Mahito entered his room and asked how he was.

Mahito then told him about Ringo and him. Kazuomi answered back that he already know about that. Kazuomi warned him not to play with Ringo’s heart or else, he would get back at him since Mahito is in the show business. Mahito told him that it would be his last show while in Japan and he haven’t told anyone about it yet even Ringo. He told Kazuomi to do his best for this drama for it would be Mahito’s last. When Mahito went out, Ringo told him that she was very happy that the three of them are in this show together.

This had encouraged Kazuomi so he did his best during the next scene wherein he confronted Mahito. Mahito praised him for his effort. The shooting has ended. Mahito’s agent told him to hurry up. Mahito met up with Ringo and told her that they would meet again tomorrow for the shooting. Mahito’s agent stared at Ringo disapprovingly. Ringo thought that the others shouldn’t know about the relationship and that she is happy that they would meet many times because of the shooting.

Ringo has another shooting and as she grabbed her coat, Mahito’s organizer fell on the floor. Ringo thought that he had forgotten about it. As she picked it up, a picture of a girl with a dog fell down on the floor. Ringo squealed with delight because Mahito had a picture of her but when she looked again, she realized that it wasn’t her. The girl looked like her but her hair is much lighter colored and her eyes are blue. Ringo wondered who the girl was.
